A croquembouche or croque-en-bouche is a French dessert consisting of choux pastry puffs piled into a cone filled with crème pâtissier and bound with threads of caramel.

Fun fact: In Italy and France, it is often served at weddings, baptisms, and first communions.

Was good toffee was crunch, pastry thin and fresh but the thing that was missing was a custard cream in the filling. The following seemed to be just custard which wasn't as tasty as I hoped for.

Delicious birthday celebration cake

We love supporting our local people and Filous patisserie in particular. Our birthday croquembouche was really delicious and festive too. The profiteroles had a lovely texture - a nice chew with that creamy soft centre. They looked good as well with the web of toffee drizzled over the top. We served it with our own berries and it tasted delicious. Thanks Filous, we were very happy.
